OLE AND IRENE KALLEVIG
Ole and Anna Kalevik's fourth child, OLE ANDREAS KALLEVIG, was born 13 Oct. 1899 in Burbank Township, Section 14, about five miles north of New London. He was baptized at Gausdal Church south of Georgeville. He went to school all of his school years in School District 33 north of Kandiyohi.
When Ole was in his twenties, he was employed by Herman Tallakson, a farmer east of Willmar. While working there he became acquainted with a young Willmar girl by the name of Irene Cooper.
In the fall of 1928 Ole asked Mr. Tallakson if he could have a week off to go deer hunting. He got permission to do that. I don't know if he got any deer hunting done, but he came back married. The wedding date was 28 Nov. 1928.
The girl he married, Irene Cooper, was the daughter of James and Tina Cooper of Willmar, Minnesota. Irene was born 12 June 1910 and attended school in Willmar.
Shortly after Ole and Irene were married, they rented a farm in Dover Township, Section 10, near the Long Lake Lutheran Church. They farmed in Kandiyohi County all their lives and ended up owning a farm in Dover Township.
Irene died suddenly 13 April 1961, and six years later, on 16 April 1967, Ole died very suddenly. They were both laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery, Willmar.
Ole and Irene had four children: Marvis, Gerald, Shirley, and Myra.

ROGER DEVEREAUX FAMILY. ROGER, JOHN, JEANNE, AND MARVIS.
MARVIS KALLEVIG, the first child of Ole and Irene Kallevig, was born 23 May 1929 north of Willmar in Dover Township, Section 10. She attended the Thorp Country School District 62. She attended the University in Minneapolis, taking a dental hygienist course.
On 13 Sept. 1947 Marvis was married to Roger Devereaux, the son of Adrian and Amie Devereaux from Willmar, Minn. Roger was born 7 Aug. 1925. He attended Willmar elementary and secondary schools and through the years attended other schools in conjunction with his employment. Roger was employed for many years for White Motor Co. in Hopkins, Minn., a factory that built forklift tractors. Roger is now retired but still works part time at the I.C.O. service station in Excelsior, Minn.
Marvis worked for Dr. Maerich in Hopkins as a dental hygienist for about 14 years. For the past 15 years she has provided a foster care home, working with the Catholic Welfare Service. Through the years she has cared for over 100 children. She is now retired.
Roger and Marvis have lived in Excelsior, Minn. most of their married life. They have two children, Jeannie and John.

TOM JOHNSON FAMILY. TOM, SARAH, JEANNIE, AND SHAWN.
JEANNIE DEVEREAUX was born 21 July 1954 and attended school in Minnetonka, Minn. She is employed at Control Data Corp. She was married to Tom Johnson on 19 Oct. 1974. He is the son of Erv and Gene Johnson of Excelsior, Minnesota.
Tom was born 4 March 1953. He attended school in Hopkins and now owns a tackle and bait shop in Chanhassen, Minn. They have two children: a son, SHAWN, born 18 Feb. 1975, and a daughter, SARAH, born 3 July 1978.

JOHN, DONNA, AND CINDY DEVERAUX.
Roger and Marvis' second child, JOHN DEVEREAUX, was born 17 Feb. 1968 and attended school in Minnetonka. John's wife Cindy is the daughter of Jim and Sue Johnson from Excelsior. Cindy was born 25 Jan. 1967. John and Cindy have one daughter, DONNA MARIE, born 27 June 1985.

RONNIE BERTSCH FAMILY. RONNIE, SHIRLEY, GAIL, AND NANCY.
SHIRLEY KALLEVIG, the second child of Ole and Irene Kallevig, was born 27 Oct. 1932 north of Willmar in Kandiyohi County. She attended School District 62, Willmar High School and Willmar School of Practical Nursing, from which she was graduated in 1951. She worked as a LPN at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar and also at the hospital in Ashley, North Dakota. She was at the two hospitals between 1951 and 1959.
Shirley married Roonie Bertsch on 25 Nov. 1955. He is the son of Adam and Magdalena Bertsch of Ashley, North Dakota, who are farmers. Roonie was born 18 Jan. 1932 and attended schools at Petersberg and Ashley High School. He served in the U.S. Army 1955-1957. From 1957 to 1959 they farmed in McPherson County, South Dakota. In 1979 Roonie and Shirley purchased a Coast to Coast store in Ashley, which they own and operate at the present time. They have two children, Gail and Nancy.

GAIL BERTSCH
GAIL, their oldest daughter, was born 3 Sept. 1958. She attended school at Ashley, Eureka, South Dakota, and Northern State College in Aberdeen, South Dakota. She has been a secretary at Willmar Poultry Company of Willmar from 1978 to the present time and lives in Willmar.

NANCY AND ALBERT THOMPSON
NANCY, the second child of Roonie and Shirley Bertsch, was born 28 April 1961. She attended school at Ashley, Eureka, Willmar High School and South Dakota State University at Brookings, South Dakota. She worked as a RN in the Watertown, South Dakota hospital 1983-1985 and the Sauk Center (Minn.) hospital 1986 to the present time.
Nancy was married to Albert Thompson on 19 Oct. 1985. He is the son of Merlin and Alice Thompson of Clara City, Minnesota, who are dairy farmers. Albert was born 27 July 1960 and attended school at Clara City, University of Minnesota, Morris, and South Dakota State University in Brookings, SD. He has been employed at Kraft Foods, Melrose, Minn., as a ~b supervisor from 1983 to the present time. They live at Sauk Centre, Minnesota.

GERALD KALLEVIG, Ole and Irene's third child, was born 22 Sept. 1935. He attended school in Thorp School District 62 in Dover Township and Willmar High school He is an auto mechanic and worked for Nelson Auto Electric in Willmar from 1961 to 1982. He now operates an auto repair shop at home on the farm south of Belgrade, Minn.
Gerald married Jean Lovone on 29 Sept. in 956. She is the daughter of George and Lina Gunderson. Jean attended school at Raymond and Willmar and graduated in 1955. She was employed at the Woolworth store in Willmar for a few years. Gerald and Jean have six children: Julie, Kim, Daniel, Terri Jo, Suzanne, and Allan.

JULIE, JEFF, AND ASHLEY NELSON
JULIE LYNN, their first child, was born 3 March 1958, attended Belgrade school, from which she was graduated in 1977, and also Willmar Vocational and Technical Institute. She was employed at Carlson Craft in Mankato as a graphic artist 1978-1985. At the present time she is an artist at Fingerhut in Eden Prairie, Minnesota.
Julie was married to Jeff Nelson on 12 Oct. 1985. Jeff is the son of Lloyd and Teresa Nelson of Mankato, Minnesota. He graduated from Mankato High School in 1973. He received a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Minnesota and a masters degree in hospital administration from the University of Iowa. He is a certified public accountant and president of Applied Joint Ventures, Inc., Minneapolis. They have one child, ASHLEY HOPE, born 15 November 1986.

PATRICIA, NICOLE, AND KIM KALLEVIG
KIM GERALD, Gerald and Jean's second child, was born 18 Jan. 1959, attended Belgrade schools, and also Willmar Vo-Tech, where he took up welding, and is now employed at Brown Minneapolis Tanks.
On 11 Sept. 1982 Kim was united in marriage to Patricia Jean Eischens, the daughter of Mervin and Velma Eischens of St. Leo, Minnesota.
Patricia was born 25 June 1959. She attended school at Canby, Minnesota, and graduated from Rochester Community College in 1980. She was a RN at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar 1980-1982 and is now at Gillette Hospital. They have one child, NICOLE LEE KALLEVIG, born 11 Nov. 1985.

DANIEL KALLEVIG FAMILY. SUSAN, DANIEL, DANIELLE, CHRISTOPHER, AND ALECIA
DANIEL GEORGE, the third child of Gerald and Jean, was born 12 Oct. 1960. He attended Belgrade schools, graduating in 1979. He also attended Willmar Vo-Tech, learning the welding trade. He is employed at Belgrade Steel Tanks, Inc., in Belgrade.
Daniel married Susan Kay Barnes on 13 June 1981. She is the daughter of Dwight and Lois Barnes of Willmar. She graduated from Willmar High School in 1980. Daniel and Susan have three children: DANIELLE, born 23 Dec. 1982; CHRISTOPHER, born 19 Jan. 1984; and ALECIA, born 8 Oct. 1985.

TERRI KALLEVIG
TERRI JO, the fourth child of Gerald and Jean, was born 24 Feb. 1962 and graduated from Belgrade High School in 1980. She took secretarial training at Willmar Vo-Tech and is employed at Blue Cross, Blue Shield in Eagan Minnesota.

SUZANNE KALLEVIG
SUZANNE JEAN, the fifth child of Gerald and Jean, was born 29 April 1967. She graduated from Belgrade schools in 1985 and is currently attending Willmar Vo-Tech, training to be a medical office assistant. She is employed at the Happy Chef restaurant in Willmar.

ALLAN KALLEVIG
ALLAN DAVID, the youngest child of Gerald and Jean Kallevig, was born 15 July 1971 and is at present a junior at Belgrade High School.

ROGER CARLSON FAMILY. MYRA, ROGER, MIKE, LINDA, AND LISA
MYRA KALLEVIG, the youngest child of Ole and Irene, was born 24 Jan. 1941. She attended school at Thorp District 62 and Willmar High School, graduating in 1959. She worked on the farm for many years, later worked for Willmar Manufacturing Co., and presently is employed at Brinton Veterinary Supply, Willmar.
In 1960 Myra was married to Roger Carlson, the son of Walter and Lillian Carlson of rural Willmar. Roger was born 28 June 1938. He also attended School District 62 and Willmar High School He farms in Dovre Township, Section 4. Roger and Myra had three children: Mike, Lisa, and Linda.

MICHAEL CARLSON FAMILY. MIKE AND LORI WITH TIFFNEY AND CHRISTOPHER IN FRONT
MIKE CARLSON, their first child, was born 4 May 1962. He attended school in District 62, Willmar elementary and high schools. He is a semi truck driver.
On 14 June 1985 Mike Carlson and Lori were married. They had two children, TIFFNEY and CHRISTOPHER. Their marriage ended in divorce. Mike now lives and works out of Hutchinson, Minnesota.

JOSEPH MEAD FAMILY. LISA AND JOSEPH WITH AMY AND TRISHA IN FRONT
LISA CARLSON, daughter of Myra and Roger, was born 7 Oct 1964 and attended the Willmar schools. She works in a nursing home in Sartell, Minnesota.
Lisa was married to Joseph Mead on 7 Jan. 1983. He is the son of Jim and Florence Mead who live north of New London. Joe was born 13 April 1962 and attended school in New London. He is a mechanic, working with heavy equipment. They live at Sartell, Minn. They have three children: TRISHA, born 14 Aug. 1981; AMY, born ~ June 1983; and TRENT, born in 1986.
LINDA CARLSON, third child of Myra and Roger, was born 28 Oct. 1965 and attended the Willmar schools. She now lives in Sacramento, Calif., where she is the manager of a clothing store.
Myra and Roger Carlson's marriage ended in a divorce in the late 1970's.

MYRA AND DARRELL MCGARVIE
On 14 August 1982 Myra Kallevig Carlson was united in marriage to Darrell McGarvie, son of Lee and Lottie McGarvie of Willmar. Darrell was born 9 Nov. 1936. He attended the Willmar schools and is now an administrator in Willmar Junior High School.
