HENRY KALLEVIG FAMILY. FRONT: MYRTLE AND HENRY. BACK: LELAND, WENDELL, HERBERT.
HENRY KALLEVIG, the sixth son of Ole and Anna Kallevig, was born 15 March 1903 in Burbank Township, Section 14, north of New London and was baptized in Gausdal Lutheran Church near Georgeville. He attended School District 33 north of Kandiyohi.
Henry worked for Hermon Tallakson on a farm east of Willmar three years before he was married. Through the years he was a farmer and businessman. He sold Watkins products in Storden, MN, worked for Farnes and Nelson of Spicer as salesman, and was also in partnership in the Kallevig-Lindell Chrysler-Plymouth Motors of Willmar from 1938 to 1940. From 1945 to 1947 he was employed at Holm Bros. of New London selling cars and International machinery. Since then he has been farming, now owning a farm north of Kandiyohi (Green Lake Township Section 22).
On 26 Jan. 1925 Henry Kallevig was married to Myrtle Jenson, the daughter of Peter and Helen Jenson of Pennock, MN.
Myrtle was born 17 April 1906 in Iowa. She attended School District 45 in rural Pennock, Willmar High School, and the Morris Agriculture school.
Henry and Myrtle have three children: HERBERT, LELAND and WENDELL.

HERBERT KALLEVIG FAMILY. LINDA, HERBERT, GAYLEN, LA VANNE, RENAE.
HERBERT KALLEVIG, their first; son, was born 5 Sept. 1925. He attended School District 33 and three high schools--Storden, Willmar and Fergus Falls, MN. He has been a farmer all his life and now owns a farm north of Kandiyohi (Green Lake Township Section 22).
Herbert was married on 14 Jan. 1949 to LaVanne Bratland, the daughter of Casper and Selma Bratland of Kandiyohi LaVanne was born 4 April 1930. She attended School District 28 in Kandiyohi County and Willmar High School, graduating in 1948.
Herbert and LaVanne had four children: SHARON, RENAE, LINDA and GAYLEN .
SHARON, their first child, was born 8 April 1950 and died 27 July 1953. She was laid to rest in Green Lake Church Cemetery.

STEVE CARTER FAMILY. RENAE, RYAN, KRISTA, STEVE.
RENAE, the second child of Herbert and LaVanne Kallevig, was born 4 Feb. 1952. She graduated from Willmar High School in 1970. She is employed in the law firm of Hulstrand, Anderson, Larson and Boylan of Willmar.
On 9 Sept. 1972 Ranae was married to Steve Carter, the son of Harvey and Mabel Carter of New London. Steve was born 1 Aug. 1948. He graduated from Willmar High
School in 1965 and has worked for Gamble Robinson Co. in Willmar for many years.
Renae and Steve have two children: son RYAN, born 2 Aug. 1975; and daughter KRISTA. born 16 June 1981.

DANNY NELSON FAMILY. DANNY, LINDA, LISA, LINNAE, DARRYL, BRADLEY.
LINDA, the third daughter of Herb and LaVanne Kallevig, was born 22 March 1955. She graduated from Willmar High School in 1973.
Linda was married to Danny Nelson on 9 June 1973. Danny is the son of Orville and Marie Nelson of Spicer, MN. Danny was born 9 April 1952 and graduated from Willmar High School in 1970. He has worked for Jennie-O Foods, Inc. since high school and is now assistant plant manager.
Linda and Danny live in Kandiyohi and have four children. They are BRADLEY, born 11 Oct. 1973; DARRYL, born 19 March 1975; LINNAE, born 28 April 1979; and LESA, born 18 Jan. 1981.

BECKIE, MELISSA LEE, AND GAYLEN KALLEVIG.
GAYLEN KALLEVIG, the fourth child of Herbert and LaVanne Kallevig, was born 4 June 1959. He graduated from Willmar High in 1977 and also from Willmar Vo-Tech as a machinist in 1979. For a while he worked in the Glenco Machine Shop but is now farming north of Kandiyohi, (Green Lake Township Section 22).
On 19 July 1980 Gaylen was united in marriage to Becki Terhune, the daughter of Jim and Judy Terhune of Willmar. Becki was born 23 Oct. 1960. She graduated from Willmar High in 1978 and also attended Willmar Vo-Tech, majoring in accounting.
She worked for Northern States Supply Co. for six years but is now back at Vo-Tech studying to be a RN. Gaylen and Becki have one child, MELISSA LEE, born 19 March 1987.
LELAND KALLEVIG, the second child of Henry and Myrtle Kallevig, is adopted. He was born 18 March 1943 and now lives at home with his parents.

WENDELL KALLEVIG FAMILY. BRYON, TIM, LARRY, WENDELL, CAROLE.
WENDELL KALLEVIG, the third son of Henry and Myrtle, was born 12 April 1945. He attended Kandiyohi County School Districts 46, 98 and 9 and graduated from Willmar High School in 1963, and also from Willmar Community College. He worked for Great Northern Railroad in communications for three years and also worked as a carpenter for Pederson Construction of Willmar for seven years. He now lives on the old Ole Kalevik home farm in Green Lake Township Section 22, where he has lived since 1973.
On 27 April 1968 Wendell was married to Carole Johnson, the daughter of Myron and Ruth Johnson of Spicer. Carole was born 25 Nov. 1947 and attended all her school years in Willmar, graduating in 1965. She also attended Minnesota School of Business in Minneapolis. She worked for the Burlington Railroad for 11 years.
Wendell and Carole have three children: LARRY, born 30 Sept. 1969; BRYON, born Aug. 1973; and TIM, born in July 1974.
