ARTHUR KALLEVIG FAMILY. ART, DONNA, ELSIE, ORVILLE
ARTHUR KALLEVIG, the seventh child of Ole and Anna Kalevik, was born 9 March 1905 on the Thorp farm in Dover Township, Section 8 north of Willmar. That same year the family moved to the farm referred to many times as "The Home Place" in Green Lake Township, Section 26. Art attended his school years in School District 33 north of Kandiyohi. He farmed all his life. He was a good farmer and lived on several different farms. He farmed the home farm for several years. His last farm was in Mamre Township, Section 24. 1974 he sold his farm and bought a home Willmar.
On 3 April 1930 Arthur was married to Elsie Mooi. She was the daughter of Nicklas and Jennie Mooi, born at Pass Christian, Miss., on 9 Feb. 1910. Her parents died when she was quite young, so she was raised by relatives.
Art, after a lingering illness and many surgeries, died 22 Sept. 1980. Art and Elsie had two children: DONNA and ORVILLE.
JOHN LARSON FAMILY. DONNA, MOREEN, ROBERT, JAMES, JOHN, BRADLEY.
DONNA KALLEVIG, their first child, was born 29 Jan. 1931. She attended Willmar High School and graduated in 1949. She worked at J.C. Penney in Willmar as a sales clerk for several years. In later years, when they moved to Long Prairie, she rented and managed a Montgomery Ward store there.
Donna was married to John Larson on 15 July 1950. He is the son of John and Elsie Larson from Wadena, MN. John was born 10 July 1926. He attended school in Wadena, graduating in 1944. After school he joined the U.S. Merchant Marines. After that he worked for Gamble Robinson Co. and was transferred from Alexandria to Brainerd, Willmar and St. Cloud. He was a partner at Lakeland Realty in Willmar from 1951 to 1953.
Next he was an accounting clerk at the Great Northern Railroad in Willmar. In 1956 they moved to Long Prairie and he worked for Hart Press, Inc. He also started a public accounting service. He worked for many years with Youth For Christ. After several years of a lingering illness, he died on 5 August 1986.
John and Donna had four children: ROBERT, JOHN BRADLEY, JAMES and MOREEN.
ROBERT LARSON FAMILY. ANTONY, TIMOTHY, BONNIE, JEFFERY, ROBERT
ROBERT LARSON, their first child, was born 12 January 1952. He attended Long Prairie High School, Willmar Community College and Bemidji State University. He is presently at the Farmers Seed and Nursery Garden Center in Bemidji.
On 6 Oct. 1973 Robert was married to Bonnie Ness, the daughter of Oscar and Myrtle Ness; of Bemidji, MN. She was born 10 Feb. 1952, attended Bemidji High School, Hillcrest Lutheran Academy and Bemidji State University. She operates a day care center in her home.
Robert and Bonnie have three children: ANTONY, born 1 Nov. 1976; JEFFERY, born 8 Feb. 1980; and TIMOTHY, born 30 August 1983.
BRADLEY LARSON FAMILY. KRISTL, DEE ANN, ANGELA, BRIAN, BRETT, BRADLEY
JOHN BRADLEY, the second child of John and Donna Larson, was born 29 Aug. 1956. He uses the name Bradley. He attended Long Prairie High School, and Oak Hill Bible College. Bradley is employed at the Long Prairie Meatpacking Co. and is also an insurance agent.
John was married to DeeAnn Park on 7 June 1975. She is the daughter of Maurice and Dorothy Park from Long Prairie. She was born 13 Dec. 1955. She attended Long Prairie High School and Mounds Midway School of Nursing. She is now a teacher's assistant. Bradley and DeeAnn have four children: ANGELA, born 7 April 1976; KRISTA, born 12 Oct. 1977; BRET, born 29 Sept. 1980; and BRIAN, born 21 May 1983.
JAMES LARSON
JAMES LARSON, the third child of John and Donna Larson, was born 29 April 1960. He attended Long Prairie High School and Northwestern College. He is a bank teller, youth pastor, and Hart Press courier.
JAMES AND MOREEN KAMPER
MOREEN LARSON, the fourth child of John and Donna, was born 23 Oct. 1964. She attended school in Long Prairie.
On 27 July 1985 Moreen was united in marriage to James Kampfer, the son of Jim and Lois Kampfer from Laporte, MN. He attended Laporte High School and Bemidji State University. He is a teacher and World Book Encyclopedia representative.
ORVILLE KALLEVIG FAMILY. ROXANE, ORVILLE, JOANN, RICK
ORVILLE KALLEVIG, the second child of Art and Elsie Kallevig, was born 6 Aug. 1934. He attended County School Districts 33 and 48 in Kandiyohi County, Willmar High School, and N.C.B. College in Minneapolis.
Through the years he has worked for several different firms: Glenwood Englewood Spring Water Co., Minneapolis; Sears, Minneapolis; and Pennock Coop Creamery. The thirty years he has been farming. He now lives in Arctander Township, Section 26, rural Pennock.
On 10 June 1955 he was married to Joann Edman, the daughter of Bennie and Eleanor Edman of rural Pennock.
Joann was born 10 June 1938 and attended School District 56, Arctander Township, and New London High school She is a home maker and also has many other activities which keep her busy.
Orville and Joann have two children: ROXANE and RICK.
MICHAEL HARTKOFF FAMILY. MICHAEL, BRITTANY, ROXANE, LINDSAY
ROXANE, their first child, was born 1 Jan. 1956. She attended School District 56, New London grade school and New London-Spicer High school She attended Concordia College, Moorhead, from 1974 to 1978, and did graduate work at University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh 1979-81.
She worked as a computer programmer for Aid Association for Lutherans, Appleton, WI, 1978-1982, and was an international systems analyst for Amway Corp., Ada, MI, 1982-1984.
On 10 June 1978 Roxane was married to Michael Hartkoff, the son of Kenneth and Ruby Hartkoff of Appleton, MN. Michael attended school at Appleton, graduating in 1973. From 1973 to 1978 he was at Concordia College, Moorhead, MN; and he did graduate work in 1979 and 1980 at the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh.
He was a sales representative for Merizon Corporation in Appleton, Wl, 1978-80; area manager for Miller Brewing Co. in Green Bay, WI, Grand Rapids, MI, and Detroit, MI, 1980-86. Since 1986 he has been a sales manager for Action Distributing Co. at Livoniae, Michigan.
Michael and Roxane have two children: LINDSAY, born 4 July 1984, and BRITTANY, born, 28 M arch 1986.
RICK, TIM, AND MARNA KALLEVIG.
RICK KALLEVIG, the second child of Orville and Joann Kallevig, was born 17 June 1957. He attended School District 56, Arctander Township, New London grade school, and New London-Spicer High School, graduating in 1975. He also took up Diesel Mechanics at Willmar Vo-Tech.
Rick married Marna Thompson on 28 Aug. 1976. She is the daughter of Hubert and Verona Thompson of rural Pennock.
Marna was born 11 Dec. 1958. She attended elementary school at Sunburg, Kerkhoven and New London, graduating from New London High School in 1977.
Rick and Marna live on a farm in Arctander Township, Section 56, rural Pennock. They have one child, TIM, born 29 March 1979.
